At Intersolar Europe 2025 in Munich, Fronius presented its latest innovations in solar technology while clearly reaffirming its commitment to European industrial autonomy. The Austrian inverter manufacturer showcased its decision to maintain all production, research, and development activities within the EU, a move framed as both strategic and political, given today’s unstable global climate.
Guided by the slogan “We are Europe”, Fronius
emphasized resilience and transparency as the two main pillars of its global
strategy. Chief Sales Officer Harald Scherleitner stressed that reducing
reliance on non-European components is vital for supply chain continuity and
long-term partner trust. CEO Elisabeth Engelbrechtsmüller-Strauß added that
Fronius’ operational strength comes from controlling the entire value chain,
starting with its Sattledt plant in Austria.
Among the product highlights unveiled were the
Fronius Reserva, a storage system designed to extend solar energy use beyond
sunlight hours; the Fronius Verto Plus, a hybrid inverter optimized for
integration with smart energy management systems; the Fronius Wattpilot Flex, a
portable wallbox for EV charging tailored for solar self-consumption; and the
Fronius Argeno, an industrial-grade inverter built for medium to large-scale
installations.
Fronius also spotlighted its approach to
installer collaboration, investing in technical training, project design
support, and post-sales service. This strategy aims to strengthen European
expertise while fostering local energy self-sufficiency.
