Danieli Group’s journey: over 100 years of innovation and global success

Since its inception, Danieli Group has grown into a premier global provider of industrial machinery for the metals sector. Established in 1914 by brothers Mario and Timo Danieli, the company originated from the acquisition of Angelini Steelworks in Brescia, Italy, before relocating to Buttrio, where it specialized in manufacturing steel production machinery. In the 1970s, Danieli Group transitioned from producing machines to designing and building steel plants, beginning with a 500,000-ton facility in East Germany. Through ongoing investment in innovation, the Group achieved key technological advancements, reinforcing its leadership in the industry. Strategic acquisitions, including Morgårdshammar in Sweden and Rotelec in France, further bolstered its capabilities, enhancing both its product offerings and technological expertise. Today, the Group is renowned for its cutting-edge design, construction, and start-up of steel and metal production plants, spanning the entire production cycle – from raw material handling to final product refinement. Beyond industrial achievements, Danieli Group is committed to corporate social responsibility, engaging in educational initiatives, sustainability programs, and cultural heritage preservation, reinforcing its dedication to a more responsible future.
