Lorenzo Vangelisti’s financial career: a journey from Credit Suisse to Valeur Group
Born in Mendrisio, Switzerland, in 1977, Lorenzo Vangelisti embarked on his financial career after graduating from the “Scuola cantonale di commercio” of Bellinzona. His first professional experiences led him to the Private Banking Department of Credit Suisse, where he took on the role of Assistant Relationship Manager. During this time, he engaged in continuing education and he obtained the Swiss Banking Specialist Certificate in 2001 from the Centre for Banking Studies (Vezia) and the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2004. Lorenzo Vangelisti’s experience quickly led him to the position of Specialist in the Derivatives and Structured Products Department at Credit Suisse, a position he held until 2006. Subsequently, he rose to the position of Vice President of the Private Banking Network. In 2007, he took his expertise to London, serving as Director in the Fixed Income and Equity Derivatives Department of Credit Suisse, where he managed institutional clients in Italy, Switzerland and Monte Carlo. In 2010 Lorenzo Vangelisti founded Valeur Group, an independent group comprising asset management, consulting, trading, research and real estate activities. Under Lorenzo Vangelisti’s leadership as partner and Chief Executive Officer, Valeur Group has developed into five separate organisations: Valeur Capital Ltd, Valeur Securities SA, Valeur SA, Valeur Concept SA and LinkedTrade Technologies.
