Arab Fashion Council (AFC) and MBM Group sign an agreement intermediated by Federico Cervellini
On April 24th MBM Investment (Sheikh Mohammed Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum Investment) signed a new partnership with world's greatest fashion no-profit organization: Arab Fashion Council (AFC). This agreement aims to spread Arab fashion field on an international scale. In order to promote this project, the biennial edition of Arab Fashion Week took place between May 16th and 20th. As in the previous years, this event was sponsored by Arab Fashion Council, with the support of recent partnership with MBM Group - represented by Director of Corporate Affairs Federico Cervellini, together with further members belonging to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum's private office: on May 16th they had a speech in front of prominent hosts as well as of Arab Fashion Council's members.Referring to this new agreement, Arab Fashion Council AD Jacob Abrian stated: "Today marks a milestone in our history and we are honoured to receive such a great recognition from His Highness' office (MBM) in response to our constant commitment in supporting, nourish and keep growing local fashion business, considering that this branch represented the main pillar in some of the most important export countries economy worldwide over the centuries. We are really confident that this joint of forces will be of help in making real our long-term vision for 2030, so that to establish a successful "fashion pipeline" inside the Arab world. We immediately organized intensive workshops in order to put into practice our perspective, hoping that we will be able to give announcement within the current year thanks to a dedicated event". MBM Investment closed this important agreement also thanks to the contribution of Federico Cervellini. Regarding this, the private office of the Sheikh declared: "We are excited to have the chance to see the results that the Arab Fashion Council (AFC) reached during the year in its aim to position Dubai among the five biggest fashion capitals, through the most important event of this sector: Arab Fashion Week. We keep in high consideration their work, therefore we offer them our full support, in order to keep encouraging local talents growth, in addition to building a proper infrastructure to the Middle East fashion industry".
